Praying HandsPrayer Chain ~ For prayer requests, contact one of the following persons:  Dorothy Davis (353-2169) or Marge Smith (322-9173).

Prayer Groups ~ A group meets on Sunday mornings at 8:15 a.m. in the parlor to pray for the congregation, the ministers, and the worship services.  An Intercessory Group meets every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel.  All are welcome to participate, become a "regular" or come when you can.  For prayer requests, please call Lavarn Hardin (318-8947).

Power of Presence ~ These lay persons work with the pastors to provide care and support in times of need.  If you would like to receive support from this program contact the pastor.

Old CarPrime Timers ~ A fellowship group for adults.  They meet the first Wednesday from 10:00am through lunch.  Everyone is welcome.

 

ToolsPaul's Partners ~ Helping members and community neighbors with chores they are physically unable to do for themselves is the mission of this group.  Services include: minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and sewing repairs as well as rides to the doctor.                  

Call Wil Abram at 525-5473 for services or to volunteer.

Country Breakfast ~ First Saturday of each month from 7-10am.  $3 for an all you can eat hot breakfast. Volunteer workers appreciated.

 

United Methodist Women (UMW) ~ An organization of church women whose purpose is to know God, to support fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through the global ministries of the church.  Circles meet a variety of times including weekends.  The church office has a list of meeting places and times.  We invite all teen, college-age, and adult women to join in our fellowship.

United Methodist Men (UMM) ~ All men of the church are invited to participate in this organization for fellowship and service.  The group meets every other month on Saturday mornings.  Regular meetings include breakfast and a program or work project.  They have a yearly retreat in August.  They also support the Boy Scout Troop and other charitable organizations.  Watch the bulletin and newsletter for information. 2007 Calendar of Events if available here: UMM Calendar

Other Small Group Opportunities ~ Do you have a particular interest or hobby?  Would you like to meet with other adults with similar interests?  To from a small group or find out more about one listed below, please contact the church office

Bible Studies ~ Meet in member's homes for short and/or long term studies.

Book/Video Group ~ Meet third Monday of the month at 7:00p.m. in member's homes.

Heartland Unplugged ~ Jam session for persons with "unplugged" instruments. Meets 4th Friday from 7-10p.m. For more information, visit their website at http://heartlandunplugged.blogspot.com/

Silver Singles ~ Older singles meet occasionally for lunch and activities. Contact Cathryn Faulkner at 356-1886.

Singles Lunch Group ~ Restaurantouring group meets most third Sundays at noon to choose a restaurant and go out to lunch. It's open to singles of any age.

Bowling ~ St. Luke's sponsors a summer bowling league from May through August at Lee's Summit Lanes.  For information contact Linette Marcotte          331-0071.

Devoted Stitchers ~ Meet at church every  Thursday at 7:00pm to work on needlework projects.

Quilters ~ Meet every Wednesday in room 219 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Anyone interested in quilting or wanting to learn to quilt is welcome.
